Castaldo® V.L.T.(very low temperature) make high volume molds directly from CAD/CAM and Rapid Prototyping models fast without risk of damage from heat or pressure. Get your models into production in as little as 30 minutes.

Castaldo® VLT vulcanizes at temps as low as 150°F. Makes great molds from traditional wax carvings. Also, spray wax or plastic model with release spray to ensure easy release of the model after vulcanization. Shrinkage is only 0.1%.

Castaldo® Silicone Modeling Rubber can be vulcanized in a wide range of time and temperature combinations depending on the characteristics of your model material.

When liquid rubbers are shipped in cold weather they may become thick and difficult to use. The rubber may remain cold long after it has been placed in a warm room. Due to extreme temperatures rubber products may freeze. The rubber is not defective but needs to  be warmed by a heating pad or some other source of indirect heat. Optimal temperatures for warming the rubber would be between 100 and 150 degrees F or heat that is comfortable to the touch. Heat Cured/vulcanizing rubbers should respond within a few hours.
